By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Personal Information

- •Approximate: area recommendations
- •Background (with permission): geofenced alerts when app isn't open
You control background location in device settings
Device & Usage
- •Device identifiers, OS, app version
- •Push notification tokens
- •App interactions (views, searches)
- •Crash logs and diagnostics
- •Usage analytics
Bluetooth
With permission, we detect nearby in-store beacons to enhance relevance and verify redemptions. We don't collect personal info from other Bluetooth devices.
Messages
In-app messages to businesses include content and metadata (timestamps, read status). Messages are private between you and the business.
Lead Submissions & Inquiries
When you submit an inquiry form for a promotion, we collect and share with that business:

- •Product or service selections and quantities
- •Estimated pricing based on your selections
Your DealHound profile info (name, email) is kept private unless you choose to enter it in the form
Preferences & Activity

- Verify redemptions and prevent fraud

Account Deletion
Delete from the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the DealHound app:
- 1.Open the app and tap Menu (bottom navigation)
- 2.Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- 3.Confirm by tapping "Delete Forever" in the final dialog
⚡ Your account and personal data are deleted immediately. This action cannot be undone.
What happens when you delete your account
Permanently Deleted
- • Your profile and personal information
- • Saved deals and preferences
- • Messages with businesses
- • Lead submissions and inquiries
- • Notification settings and tokens
- • Gamification data (badges, streaks)
Anonymized (Retained)
- • Aggregate analytics (no personal data)
- • Redemption counts for vendor metrics
This preserves business insights without identifying you.
Alternative: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by emailing us from your account email.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us to delete it.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed outside your country. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses and DPAs) as required by applicable law.
California (CCPA) & EEA/UK (GDPR) Rights
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (e.g., access, deletion, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent). Contact us to exercise these rights.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in the App and/or via email. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance.
